Violation: Driving Under the Influence, 2 Counts of Possession of Controlled Substances

Client was stopped in Carthage, Tennessee for DUI and two counts of possession of controlled substances. Client agreed to a toxicology test which showed .058% of blood alcohol content and the presence of three drugs. After a showing that the drug amounts were not sufficient for impairment and a thorough investigation, all charges were dismissed, with the exception of the DUI. The charge of DUI was amended to reckless driving, a fifty dollar fine, and no impact on the client’s driving privileges. All drug charges were dismissed after appropriate pharmacy records showing client and his wife had proper prescriptions.
