What Are the Areas of Family Law?
Family Law is a broad umbrella under which many specific areas of practice fall such as, Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Paternity, Legal Separation, Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements, Alimony, and Grandparents Visitation/Rights. However, Family Law also includes areas of practice not always associated with Family Law such as the criminal charges of Domestic Violence and Orders of Protection (OOPs), Stalking, Child Abuse and/or Neglect and the civil aspect of Estate Planning and Estate Document Revision.
What Do We Offer Our Family Law Clients?
My team and I offer aggressive yet compassionate representation to our clients in all these areas of the law. In addition to being a Partner at Lannom & Williams, I lead our firm’s Family Law Division. We are recognized by our clients and fellow attorneys alike for our tenacity and commitment to the defense of our client’s rights in their case. My family law partner Julie Robinson brings over 15 years of courtroom experience to the table and she is also a Tennessee Accredited Rule 31 Mediator. In circumstances that allow for mediation of a divorce, Julie excels at bringing divorcing parties to a place where child custody and marital assets can be divided without the expense and strain of a litigated divorce. As our firm’s goal is to completely support our client’s legal needs, Family Law clients also have access to specialized criminal defense headed by Founder Frank Lannom and experienced criminal defense team. An overlooked but essential aspect of Divorce is Estate Planning and Estate Revision as Wills, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, and Trusts are all affected by divorce. Our Estate and Probate Attorney Donnavon Vasek can assist you in revising your estate documents enabling you to have them in place as soon as the divorce is finalized.
