The client was charged with Possession of Sch. I, Psilocybin Mushrooms for Resale, Possession of a Weapon During a Dangerous Felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The client also had his 99’ Chevrolet truck seized by law enforcement and a case initiated to have the vehicle
forfeited to the State of Tennessee. After negotiating with the District Attorney, we were able to reach an agreement where the client would enter a pretrial diversion for all the charges. The pretrial diversion agreement means that the client does not report to probation and all the charges
will be dismissed after 11 months and 29 days of good and lawful behavior. The client paid the court costs and can have the misdemeanor plea expunged from his criminal record following completion of the diversion term. The client was facing a minimum of 11 years in prison without
the possibility of probation or early parole. The ultimate result of a misdemeanor diversion agreement without any probation and the possibility of having the charges expunged is a great result for the client.
