The client was charged with driving under the influence in Lebanon, Wilson County, Tennessee. The arrest was made following a medical episode, the officer believed was due to narcotics. Once our team got into the case, we pulled the lab reports for the blood sample taken from our client and did a comprehensive review. We broke down the results to show the prosecutor that no active alcohol or drugs were present in the client’s system at the time of the arrest or immediately before. We presented information about the medical condition along with documentation from the treatment received following the arrest. Not only did were we able to have the DUI charge dismissed but obtained a restricted driver’s license for the client to drive with an interlock device from the prior case. The client did not retain our representation for a prior driving under the influence in another jurisdiction which he pled guilty and lost his license. The facts and circumstances of the arrests were similar in a lot of ways. The client did not have the resources and experience needed to address the issues we had in the new case. We always recommend that you find experienced representatives to advocate your case.
