The client was charged with Driving Under the Influence in Wilson County, Tennessee in 2025. The client was contacted by law enforcement in an unmarked gravel parking area asleep in the driver’s seat late in the evening. The client was woken up and asked out of the vehicle. The client was reported to have shown multiple signs of impairment involving speech, odor, watery eyes, and delayed verbal responses. The client was instructed to perform field sobriety test and was arrested for DUI. The officer reported that seeing almost every clue of impairment the tests are designed to identify. The client was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw and taken to the Wilson County jail.

Upon review of the body camera video, the client, and the BAC results, we negotiated the case to be reduced to reckless endangerment. The client’s biggest priority was their driver’s license. The result in this case included no limitations or restrictions on the client’s ability to legally operate a motor vehicle. The client satisfied the limited conditions of our agreement, and we were able to have his probation unsupervised for the remainder of the sentence.
