Jim Stocks
Your Lebanon & Mt. Juliet TN Injury and Disability Attorney
I focus my practice on personal injury, social security disability, and workers’ compensation matters, and also head up the Lannom & Williams’ appellate practice. I spent the first five years of my practice in large defense-oriented firms before moving to plaintiff’s law where I can defend people who have been injured and need relief. The experience I gained by defending large companies and government entities now allows me to look at a case from the other side’s point of view and to tailor our client’s case to protect them from the legal attacks by the insurance lawyers. I know what angles they are looking for to attack your case and undermine your rights and I can help “bullet proof” your case against them!
Frequently, after I have successfully represented an injured person, I have found that their injury is so substantial that they are not able to return to work. This naturally progressed into helping them to obtain their disability benefits. I have gained years of experience in disability law and find my practice focusing more and more on helping injured people get the benefits they need and deserve.

Earlier this year, I was appointed to the Tennessee Association for Justice’s (TAJ) Governor’s Board and that position will allow me to help tailor proposed legislation to protect an injured persons rights, which seem to be under constant attack by big money lobbyist in Washington and in our state as well.
In 2000, I graduated from Loyola Law School in California cum laude and received the Order of the Coif. I wrote for the college paper and now write Lannom and Williams’ quarterly newsletter. I live in Gallatin with my wife Jennifer and our two children.
